In Abu Dhabi, a national initiative called "Readiness" was launched for the development of burn care and surgical centers in the country. The program aims to enhance the readiness of medical personnel to respond to emergency situations and disasters.
The program has been developed according to a unified methodological approach and has been approved by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, the Dubai Health Authority, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection. It also has international recognition from the European Centre for Medical Disasters, the College of Surgeons of the USA, the British groups for life support, American institutions for disasters, as well as Australian and New Zealand institutes.
